WASHINGTON — Bestway Sandwiches Inc. is recalling approximately 24,870 lbs of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products that may be contaminated with foreign material, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
FSIS was notified by Bestway Sandwiches that it received a consumer complaint reporting a piece of metal found in the chicken and cheese taquitos. Another consumer reported a dental injury from the product to FSIS.
Produced at the company’s Valencia, Calif., facility on July 3, 2024, and Sept. 25, 2025, the following products are subject to the recall:
- 20-oz carton packages containing “CASA MAMITA CHICKEN & CHEESE TAQUITOS,” with Best By Dates 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 on the bottom panel.
The taquito products bear the establishment number “EST. P-40327” on the carton package. The items were shipped to select ALDI grocery stores nationwide.
