RICHMOND, VA. — Monogram Food Solutions, L.L.C., a Memphis, Tenn.-based maker of value-added processed meats, will invest $4 million to expand its facility in Henry county, Va. The planned expansion follows Monogram’s acquisition of the Henry county-based meat snack business of the American Foods Group division of Knauss Snack Food Co. in August 2009.

Monogram Food was founded in 2004 when a group of Memphis investors bought the King Cotton and Circle B Brand Meats business from Sara Lee Corp. Monogram Meat Snacks, a division of Monogram Food Solutions, makes jerky, meat and cheese snacks, kippered beef sticks and pickled sausages. Monogram Food also makes private label brand meat snacks, smoked meats, corn dogs and fritters. In addition to Henry county, the company has facilities in Tennessee, Minnesota and Indiana.
