SUMTER, SC. — A man wanted by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) for stealing $40,000 worth of boneless chicken breasts from Pilgrim’s Pride was arrested on May 26.

According to information from the SCSO, Jeremy McFadden, 37, surrendered to investigators after an arrest warrant was issued on May 19.

McFadden was charged with grand larceny and booked into the county’s detention center. He was released on a $20,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing and no other information was available about the date of his next court appearance.
