BALL GROUND, GA. — Poultry processing solutions company Meyn America LLC announced plans to build a new distribution facility in the economic development business park in Oconee County, SC. Meyn America is investing $10.8 million in the 80,000-square-foot, Green Globes-certified facility.

The new development functions to accelerate and improve the accuracy of Meyn’s growing parts business, supporting its customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America.

“This new distribution facility will enable us to fulfill our growing customer parts orders more quickly and accurately,” said Todd Rhodes, vice president and general manager at Meyn America. “In addition, by establishing roots in South Carolina — two hours from our Georgia facility — we will diversify risk caused by any unplanned weather disruptions, allowing us to continue uninterrupted fulfillment of customer orders.”

Meyn America expects the facility to be operational by the third quarter of 2024.

Currently, Meyn America ships parts through the air from distribution centers in Europe to customers in the Americas. The company plans to reduce carbon emissions with its new South Carolina distribution center, which will ship parts over land and sea.
