DALLAS — Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is bringing its Dallas-based brand across the globe with its latest expansion deal in the Philippines. The new location will come to Manila in the second quarter of 2023.

Dickey’s Executive Vice President Jim Perkins and John Lee, master partner of the San Francisco Bay area and real estate professional, recently visited the Philippines to map out a plan for opening the new restaurant within this year.

Lee’s son, Max Lee, who is a current owner and operator of a Bay Area Dickey’s franchise, will lead the expansion in the Philippines. He plans to develop an additional 40 locations.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing the best legit Texas barbecue across the globe to the Philippines in 2023,” Perkins said. “With the representation of the Lee family, we have no doubt that the upcoming Dickey’s development will be a major success.”

Dickey’s operates over 550 restaurants across the globe, including in the United States, Brazil, Egypt, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.
