SPRINGDALE, ARK. — Tyson Foods Inc. announced the Black College World Series (BCWS) will return in 2023 to the Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala. Tyson’s hotdog portfolio brand Ball Park will once again join Tyson as a primary sponsor of the BCWS, scheduled for May 9-13, 2023.

Riverwalk Stadium is home to the Montgomery Biscuits, the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays who play in the Southern League.

“We’re excited to again serve as the title sponsor of the 2023 Black College World Series,” said Paul Davis, vice president and chief equity, inclusion and diversity officer at Tyson. “We’re grateful for the partnership from Black College Championships, the Montgomery Biscuits and the City of Montgomery in supporting the BCWS and elevating the experience for the participating teams and student athletes.”

During the third BCWS, eight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) will compete for the BCWS championship. The top team from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II bracket in the tournament will face off against the top team from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) bracket to determine the champion.
