WASHINGTON – Chris Wall has been hired by the National Pork Producers Council as assistant vice president for government relations in its Washington, D.C., public-policy office. Mr. Wall began his duties on April 1.

“Chris has great leadership skills and an extensive background in agriculture,” said Audrey Adamson, vice president of domestic policy issues. “He will be a valuable asset to pork producers in fighting for reasonable legislation and regulations.”

Most recently, Mr. Wall was director of economic development in the office of Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., working on agricultural issues, including food-safety legislation and the 2008 Farm Bill. Previously, he was a senior legislative assistant for Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., dealing with agricultural matters. He also worked on the staffs of Rep. Robin Hayes, R-N.C., and Sen. George Allen, R-Va.
