LINCOLN, NEB. — Local and federal officials confirmed that three Florida men were arrested for stealing $9 million in frozen meat in six states as part of an organized criminal enterprise.

According to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Yoslany Leyva Del Sol, Ledier Machin Andino and Delvis L. Fuentes, from Miami, Fla., face charges of transporting stolen goods and money laundering.

The three suspects were arrested on Oct. 20 and law enforcement officials recovered three semitrailers containing stolen merchandise valued at $550,000. 

The men allegedly targeted beef and pork packaging plants in Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. An ongoing investigation by Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Task Force and Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) Omaha identified 45 thefts since June 2021.

This investigation began after officials started looking into the theft of several semitrailers containing frozen beef in Lancaster County, Neb., June 27.
