AUSTIN, MINN. — Hormel Foods Corporation has recognized 58 of its suppliers with its 2009 Spirit of Excellence Award. The companies represent an array of industries, from those providing provisions to producers and including suppliers of transportation and equipment. Suppliers were ranked by ratings based on their performance, promptness and administrative support and service provided in 2009.
“The Spirit of Excellence Awards are a great way to thank our suppliers for helping Hormel Foods continue to build upon our heritage of innovation and quality,” said Melanie Faust, Hormel’s director of purchasing. “Each year, we look forward to presenting this award as a way of showing appreciation to our suppliers.”
The 2009 winners are eligible for the Hormel No. 1 Award, which will be announced in 2011 for four-time Spirit of Excellence recipients from 2006 to 2010.
