KANSAS CITY, MO. – The publishing team at MEAT+POULTRY are proud to announce a new offering to its digital portfolio, “Meat Snack News,” a monthly e-newsletter that will debut on Aug. 18.

According to Future Market Insights (FMI), the market share for meat snacks is expected to grow to 12% of the global meat market. Additionally, the market in the United States is projected to top a value of $10.1 billion in 2022 and grow to $21.3 billion in the next 10 years, according to FMI.

“Especially over the past 3-5 years, in visits with processors of all sizes and based on the overall growing consumer demand for snacks on the market, we recognized that the production and availability of meat-based snacks have been increasing exponentially,” said Dave Crost, publisher of MEAT+POULTRY.  “It made sense for us to offer readers a newsletter dedicated to this segment, covering it from the processor’s perspective and including news, trends, new product innovations and technology reports related to the production of meat snacks.”

The debut issue includes a feature on Western’s Smokehouse Partners’ plans for continued growth and a look back at its successful history with input from its new chief executive officer, Matt Bormann. In addition, there will be reports on the latest news, trends and product innovations in the meat snack segment.
