CENTENNIAL, COLO. – CattleFax recently announced its latest set of officers for this year during the annual meeting at the Cattle Industry Convention and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) trade show.

Pono Von Holt, of Kamuela, Hawaii, was named president of the group. He works as a cow-falk producer on the Big Island with other stocker and feedlot interests in the Northwest of the United States and the Southern Plains.

Von Holt is a third-generation rancher who worked in the cattle industry organizations nationally and locally, including Hawaii.

The group announced that Nick Hunt of Atlantic, Iowa, will be president-elect and serve as a second term in the position of Midwest Director. Hunt remains active in local, state and national agricultural boards and organizations and is a past winner of the NCBA Environmental Stewardship Award. He works as a fourth-generation cattle farmer.

Ted Parker of Seminary, Miss., will hold a four-year term as the Southeast Director for CattleFax.

Other directors currently serving terms for the group include Jerry Adams of Broken Bow, Neb.; Mark Frasier of Fort Morgan, Colo.; Chris Kalkowski of Omaha, Neb.; Jeff Sternberger of Ingalls, Kan.; Jeff Sparrowk of Clements, Calif.; and Dale Smith of Amarillo, Texas.
