MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA. – A two-alarm fire was reported at the JBS USA beef processing plant in Souderton, Pa., on Dec. 9.

A report from KYW-TV, stated that fire fighters responded to a call around 1 a.m. at the facility. The cause is under investigation. 

Nikki Richardson, JBS spokesperson, said a minor fire was quickly contained at the location. 

“No production areas were impacted and the plant was open and fully operational (Dec. 9),” Richardson added. “There were no injuries as a result of the fire, and there was no impact to production. We are grateful to the local fire crews for their assistance in addressing the situation.”
