KANSAS CITY, MO. – Following its virtual convention last year, Pack Expo Las Vegas is ready to return as an in-person event Sept. 27-29.
With approximately 1,500 exhibitors and more than 20,000 attendees expected, Pack Expo show organizers have had to put in place proper protocols in order to hold a safe event.
To get the background on the preparation, Laura Thompson, vice president of trade shows at PMMI, provided details on this week’s MEAT+POULTRY Podcast.
Thompson described the new programs and educational sessions that will be available to attendees in Las Vegas and the plans that went into creating the schedule. Thompson went on to explain what attendees can expect from the Processing Zone, a new pavilion that will be debuted and its Pack to the Future exhibit.
Thompson then talked about her role with Pack Expo and how she’s had to adapt constantly since pandemic started.
Finally, Thompson discussed how packaging innovations on display, combined with a full docket of presentations, will give attendees the information about the technology needed to implement improvements at their own companies.
