COLUMBUS, OHIO – Executives with Grote Co. announced on Aug. 13 the acquisition of Precision Food Innovations (PFI), a manufacturer of conveying equipment, from Precision Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Grote, a family-owned company that specializes in commercial food slicing and assembly equipment said the acquisition will support the slicing equipment business as well as its potato and processing equipment subsidiary, Vanmark. PFI operates two facilities in both Pella, Iowa and San Antonio, Texas and the deal won’t change employment or operations, according to officials.

Chief Executive Officer, Bob Grote, said PFI is a complimentary addition that is part of the company’s growth strategy and gives it an advantage in serving its food processing customers.

“Their history, expertise, quality, and relentless customer focus dovetails precisely with how our family-run business operates,” he said. “The additional talent and capacity afforded by PFI’s two operations allows us to deliver more complete solutions to our customers worldwide. I welcome PFI to the ever-growing Grote team.”

Vanmark was acquired by Grote Co. in 2007 and operates two facilities in the United States and one in India.
