RIVIÈRE DU LOUP, QUEBEC – Organic pork processor duBreton announced the addition of Marc Ridout to the company’s European market development team effective July 1. Ridout will promote duBreton’s products and establish commercial relationships with local distributors on behalf of the company.

Before joining duBreton, Ridout was export manager for Friland, a subsidiary of Danish Crown.

The company said Ridout will be an important asset in achieving the company’s goals of expanding market share in Europe, where demand for organic food continues to grow. duBreton’s success in the United States and Japan give the company reason to be optimistic about the development of the European market, which is an essential part of duBreton’s growth plan, the company said.

“Mr. Ridout has a great deal of experience marketing organic and Certified Humane pork in European and international markets. His knowledge of the market and the culture is an incredible advantage for us,” said Vincent Breton, president of duBreton. “Expanding European markets has been in the planning for several years now and the addition of a local representative is an important milestone in the realization of this project.”
