AUBURN, ALA. – Southern-inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, Chicken Salad Chick, scheduled its new restaurant, the second location in the greater Richmond, Va., area, to open on June 24. The new location at 6575 Mechanicsville Turnpike will celebrate its grand opening by offering free chicken salad for a year to the first 100 guests. Any guest not part of the first 100 in line can make an in-store purchase and enter for a chance to win free chicken salad for a year.
  • Thursday, June 25 – The first 100 guests to purchase a Chick Special will receive a free scoop of Classic Carol.
  • Friday, June 26 – The first 50 guests to purchase a Chick Trio will receive a free Chick hat.

Multi-unit franchise owners Tim, Kim, Rick and Nancy Collins of Providence Restaurant Group, LLC, own and operate both the original Richmond location and the new Mechanicsville location. The Collins family has offered curbside pick-up for the last two months to introduce the residents to Chicken Salad Chick offerings while waiting for the Mechanicsville location opening to be scheduled.

"We take pride in serving our community and though our doors weren't officially open, we're grateful to have been able to provide our flavorful chicken salad to residents in the area," said Kim Collins. "Since debuting our first Richmond restaurant last year, we've received tremendous support from our loyal guests and neighboring communities and are thrilled to be opening our second Chicken Salad Chick restaurant in Mechanicsville. We've been eagerly awaiting the day we could invite guests into our restaurant and are overjoyed that the day is finally here."
