RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – The Chefs’ Warehouse Inc. recently acquired substantially all the assets of Cambridge Packing Co., a Boston-based beef, poultry, pork and seafood company that serves the New England area.

Details of the transaction were not disclosed but Chef’s Warehouse said it expects to generate approximately $50 million in annual net sales from the company.

Cambridge Packing was founded in 1923. The company is in its third generation of family ownership.
