BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Oath Pizza, a socially-conscious pizza chain, announced on Nov. 12 that it would change all its meats to Applegate products, the natural and organic meat subsidiary of Hormel Foods Corp.

The company will use the meat products in all 60 locations nationwide. It is the first national pizza restaurant to use Applegate meats.

"Our partnership with Applegate is a natural fit, and we couldn't be more excited to feature their products on our menus," said Drew Kellogg, president and CEO of Oath Pizza. "At Oath, we hold each and every ingredient to the highest standard, and we know Applegate shares that same value."

Oath will use pepperoni, Italian sausage, roasted chicken, bacon and pulled pork from Applegate. The product is certified as humanely raised, never administered antibiotics or growth promotants and fed a vegetarian or pasture-centered diet. It also contains no artificial ingredients, and no chemical nitrites or nitrates in its effort to serve consumers trying to avoid those ingredients.

"Our partnership with Oath Pizza is an exciting one because we share a common goal of providing consumers great-tasting food that is responsibly and thoughtfully sourced, and because it provides the opportunity to bring that elevated meat experience to consumers beyond traditional retail channels," said John Ghingo, president of Applegate.
