BUFFALO, N.Y. – Sahlen Packing Co. added to the company’s ranks Timothy Cooley as vice president of sales and Kenneth Voelker as vice president of marketing and business development.

“It’s exciting to have Tim and Ken on board,” said Joe Sahlen, president of Sahlen Packing. “They both have a wealth of industry knowledge and with their expertise, will help continue to drive the success and future growth of the company.”

Cooley brings 30 years of experience in sales to his new position. Before joining Sahlen Packing, Cooley worked for Pepsi, Colgate, Molson Coors Brewing Company, Perry’s Ice cream and most recently, as general manager at BakeMark. At Perry’s Ice cream, Cooley managed a team of 110 employees and is credited with increasing branded sales and expansion of the full-scale DSD operation significantly over a nine-year period.

Cooley graduated from the State Univ. of New York at Brockport with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing. Currently, Cooley resides in Lancaster, New York, with his family.

Voelker has worked with leading branded companies in consumer-packaged foods such as Steuben Foods, Upstate Niagara Cooperative and Sorrento Lactalis. He has a successful track record of launching new products including Sorrento Fresh Mozzarella, CRAVE Chocolate Milk, and most recently, the development and launch of Elmhurst, a complete line of plant-based milk.

Voelker earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Canisius College. He also lives in Lancaster, New York, with his family.
