PLANO, Texas – Pizza Hut, a division of Yum Brands Inc., plans to blow out its presence at Super Bowl LIII during its first year as the official pizza sponsor of the National Football League. The company is promoting several deals for its customers including $7.99 large two-topping pizzas and $5 lineup deals on Super Bowl Sunday.
Pizza Hut also is offering its Hut Rewards members who order online on Feb. 3 discount on purchases made on NFLShop.com.
“Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest day of the year for both Pizza Hut and the NFL, so in addition to the pizza promos and delivery experience our customers know and love, we’re overdelivering to fans in Atlanta and at home by bringing them face-to-face with their favorite NFL players at Super Bowl Experience and giving them the one and only way to earn Official NFL Shop merch for less than the rest during Super Bowl LIII,” said Marianne Radley, chief brand officer of Pizza Hut.
Other promotions include temporarily changing the name of one of its restaurants in Atlanta to Pizza Hut-Hut-Hut. The company will also use “Hutlanta” in promoting its sponsorship, a play on the Atlanta city nickname “Hotlanta.”
Pizza Hut also announced NFL wide receivers and brand ambassadors Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster will make appearances at the interactive theme park, the Super Bowl Experience in downtown Atlanta prior to the game.
Earlier in January, Pizza Hut announced that 300 restaurants across the US expanded its category-first beer delivery program. The company said it will expand the service in Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio and additional locations across California and Arizona by mid-January.
