WASHINGTON – With the partial government shutdown in Washington going into a third week, the US Dept. of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has stopped posting meat and poultry recall updates. The last recall listed on the site is dated Dec. 30, 2018.

The FSIS has posted the following statement on its website:

“Due to a lapse in federal funding, this USDA website will not be actively updated. Once funding has been reestablished, online operations will continue.”
