WASHINGTON– The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced it was holding recruitment events to hire food safety inspectors in Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska during November and December.

FSIS is the agency responsible for protecting the public’s health by ensuring the safety of the nation’s commercial supply of meat, poultry and processed egg products. There are more than 7,500 employees for the agency nationwide.

At the three-day recruitment events, potential candidates will have an opportunity to apply and receive assistance with the USAJOBS application process.

The details for each state are below.

Kansas

When: Nov. 27, through Nov. 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Kansas Dept. for Children and Families, 1500 Avenue P, Dodge City, Kansas.

 

Colorado

When: Nov. 29 through Dec. 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Where: Lincoln Park Library, 1012 11th Street, Greeley, Colorado.

 

Nebraska

When: Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dec. 7 and Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Where: Kearney Public Library, 2020 1st Ave., Kearney, Nebraska.
