SEATTLE – Craft meat company Crowd Cow announced the appointment of two executives to its leadership team. The company named Michelle Newbery as the chief financial officer and Kathryn Ficarra as head of marketing.

Michelle Newbery

Newbery joins Crowd Cow from Lowe's Cos., where she held a variety of roles including director of corporate accounting, chief operating officer and CFO for ATGStores.com and president of The Mine.

"I'm excited to join such a talented and passionate team that is ready to take farm-to-table to the next level by empowering consumers to virtually shop by farm so they have confidence in the food they select for themselves and their families," Newbery said. "We have a model that's well positioned to scale and disrupt the industry, while improving the quality of food available to consumers across the country."

Kathryn Ficarra

Ficarra joins the company from Big Fish Games, where she held a variety of marketing roles, most recently as vice president of advertising, running the organic marketing team.

"I'm excited to be a part of this movement, providing unparalleled taste in these hard-to-find varieties of craft meat," Ficarra said. "We're leaning in on education around the importance of a healthy, sustainable lifestyle."
