ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – While summer may officially be over, officials from Farm Rich, a subsidiary of Rich Products, launched three new smoked, barbecue pork products just in time for autumn. Available in retailer’s frozen-food cases this month, Farm Rich’s Tennessee-style barbecue pulled pork is featured in all of the new items, which include: Hand Pulled Pork Sliders in addition to a choice of Hickory Smoked Hand Pulled Pork BBQ seasoned with Chorizo seasoning or available in a honey-bourbon sauce. Designed to be warmed using a microwave oven, the company said the new products are made from authentic pulled pork that has been slow smoked to give it a hickory flavor.

“If you want truly authentic-tasting BBQ, you can't speed up the slow-cook process, but you can let the experts do most of the work,” said Shannon Gilreath, director of marketing with Farm Rich. “With these new slow-cooked barbecue offerings all made at our Tennessee location, you’ve got delicious sliders for a quick protein snack or gluten-free, real BBQ for meals or last-minute cookouts.”

The Hand Pulled Pork Sliders contain 13 grams of protein per serving with each box containing six sliders served on a soft roll. Meanwhile, both the Chorizo style sauce or honey bourbon glazed Hickory Smoked Hand Pulled Pork are available in 16-oz. cartons as a gluten-free, heat-and-eat option. The suggested retail price for the items is approximately $5.98, first at Walmart stores and at Kroger stores in November.
