ROSEMONT, Ill. – US Foods recently announced the launch of its Fall Scoop 2018 promotion with a diverse line of entrée options. There are 27 products featured for the campaign.

The company identified five key trends in the foodservice segment, including a meat-focused category called New World Butchery, which features items from animals raised without antibiotics.

“At US Foods, we make it easy for our operators to stay on trend and take the right steps forward with confidence,” said Stacie Sopinka, vice president of product development and innovation, US Foods. “In Fall Scoop, we’re bringing the industry’s most influential trends to restaurants across the country by introducing an assortment of versatile products that blend function, innovation and fashion-forward form.”

Another meat category includes the Chef’s Line All Natural Bison and Pork Smoked Sausage. The sausage is seasoned with a custom spice blend and smoked in natural pork casings.

Also featured as part of the promotion is the Metro Deli All Natural Soppressata. The southern-Italian salami is fermented and dry-aged with a mild, sweet authentic flavor and texture, according to US Foods.

Finally, the US Foods’ Stock Yards brand launched an All Natural Pork Burger. This new burger is an alternative to traditional beef burgers that is made using vegetarian-fed, ground pork.
