MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – Jollibee, the flagship brand of Asian foodservice company Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC), recently opened a fourth restaurant in the Greater Toronto Area as part of the company’s North American expansion plans.

Jollibee is exploring additional locations in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta and Toronto and the province of Ontario with the goal of opening 100 stores in Canada in the next five years. Jollibee is the largest fast-food chain brand in the Philippines with 1,000 stores and more than 200 international stores in United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Brunei, Vietnam, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Italy. Jollibee operates 40 stores across the US and Canada.

Jollibee’s offerings include Jolly Crispy Chicken; Jolly Spaghetti with its signature sweet-style sauce with slices of ham, ground meat and hotdog; Palabok Fiesta, a traditional Filipino noodle dish covered in garlic-shrimp sauce, crushed pork rind, shrimp, and egg; and Peach Mango Pie.

“Our fans have been anxiously awaiting the opening of our Mississauga store for months,” said Jose Miñana, JFC group president for North America. “We are thrilled to see that the enthusiasm is still there with close to 7,000 customers served on opening day and lines still forming outside the store.”

JFC Corp. operates over 4,200 stores globally. The company’s portfolio includes franchised Burger King stores in the Philippines and Dunkin’ Donuts in certain territories in China, and joint ventures with Smashburger.
