SEATTLE – Oberto Brands announced the launch of a new product derived from its Jerky Cattleman’s Cut Brand will release its 9-oz. Texas Style Flank Steak Beef Jerky in July. Oberto Brands, based in Kent, Washington, said this is their first-ever flank steak jerky.    

To produce the new product, strips of flank steak are marinated for 48 hours prior to a slow-cooking process.

“We’ve seen a remarkable response from customers about this new product,” said Tom Hernquist, president and CEO of Oberto. “The delicious taste and very tender texture of our new flank steak product are unlike anything else in our category. It’s a perfect fit for our loyal consumers who want great tasting, high-quality beef jerky at an excellent value.”

In April, Premium Brand Holdings reached an agreement to purchase the assets and operating divisions of Oberto Brands. Details were finalized in June.
