GARDABAER, Iceland – Marel announced on June 21 that it would be adding two new members to its corporate leadership and restructuring another position.

Einar Einarsson was appointed executive vice president of global markets. Einarsson has worked with Marel for 15 years in the sales and service operations in North America. He became president of Marel Inc. in 2003 and held several other sales positions. Einarsson will stay on as president and until a successor is announced.

Ulrika Lindberg will join the company as executive vice president of service. Both people will report to Marel CEO Arni Oddur Thordarson.

Former Executive Vice President of Commercial Petur Gudjonsson will move into a different role at Marel. Gudjonsson has worked at the company for 34 years.

Lindberg previously worked as vice president of global service at Alfa Laval where she was responsible for building a new unit with the overall objective to increase sales of services and improve service standardization in a global service organization. Lindberg also worked for Tetra Park.
