Chicken Burgers
 
OTTAWA- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) reported a recall for some no name brand chicken burgers due to possible Salmonella contamination. The products in question include frozen, raw, breaded chicken products.

Loblaw Companies Ltd., No Name brand Chicken Burgers (1kg), with a best before date of Feb. 6, 2019

The recall is related to a Salmonella outbreak in eight Canadian provinces. Investigators said exposure to poultry like frozen raw breaded chicken products, has been identified as a source of illness. The CFIA is still working on a food investigation which may lead to other products being recalled. 

According to Health Canada, 59 cases of Salmonella Enteritidis have been reported in the affected area with 10 people being hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.
