MCLEAN, Va. – The Food Processing Suppliers Association and Messe Düsseldorf GmbH have formed an alliance to increase the international reach of FPSA’s PROCESS EXPO as part of Interpack’s worldwide products family.

In 1958 Interpack was founded and has evolved over the decades to the number-one global platform for the packaging and processing industry. Messe Düsseldorf GmbH was founded in 1947 and is a worldwide leading organizer for international trade fairs, especially in the machinery sector. Messe Düsseldorf organizes more than 40 trade fairs at the home base in Düsseldorf, Germany and additionally organizes or supports 80 international trade fairs worldwide.

FPSA members are organized in vertical-industry councils, which focus on specific needs and concerns that are unique to each industry sector. FPSA councils currently represent the Bakery, Beverage, Fruits & Vegetable, and Meat sectors.

FPSA is a global trade association serving suppliers in the food and beverage industries. Its programs and services support members’ success by providing assistance in marketing their products and services, overall improvement in key business practices and many opportunities to network among industry colleagues. Programs and services to achieve these objectives include PROCESS EXPO (industry leading trade show), electronic media marketing, education, market intelligence, research, and advocation of critical industry issues such as food safety, sanitary design of equipment and global trade.

"Messe Düsseldorf is pleased to be joining with FPSA in the formation of this partnership," said Hans Werner Reinhard, executive vice president of Messe Düsseldorf Group. "The exponential growth of PROCESS EXPO since the announcement of the move to a biennial show tells us that strategically, this is where we need to be in the North American market. We are now pleased to offer our existing customers a new platform."

Messe Düsseldorf will contribute to booth space sales plus promote attendance to food processors throughout the world.

"This partnership will significantly increase PROCESS EXPO’s presence in the international market, where Messe Düsseldorf is a leader within the processing and packaging trade show arena," said Scott Scriven, FPSA chairman. "With seven international subsidiaries and 68 foreign representatives worldwide supporting Messe Düsseldorf in 127 countries, PROCESS EXPO will have unprecedented access to new markets."
