CARLYLE, Ill. – The Maschhoffs announced two new additions to senior leadership roles in the company. In April, Rich Hollis took on the role of vice president of people strategy and resources after working for Rabo AgriFinance for more than 13 years, most recently as executive vice president of organizational development. In March, Dr. Justin Fix assumed the role of director of Genetics. Previously he served as director of genetic programs for Smithfield Premium Genetics for five years.

“I remain passionate about attracting, retaining and developing the industry’s best people,” said Dr. Bradley Wolter, president of The Maschhoffs. “I am confident that Rich’s passion for people and Dr. Fix’s passion for advancing the swine industry will serve this company and the industry well for years to come.”

“What attracted me to The Maschhoffs were the core values,” Hollis said. “They align well with my personal values and are the cornerstone to everything the company does. The commitment to investing in employees, serving rural communities and creating a positive difference in our industry is second to none.”

Hollis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business and Education from Western Illinois Univ.

Fix’s experience includes working at the National Swine registry, first as a genetics program specialist, then director of genetic and technical services before becoming the vice president of technical services for the company.

“The opportunity to come lead an integrated genetic program is very rare,” Fix said. “This combined with the innovative and progressive approach to investing in technology, central to The Maschhoffs’ business model, was too great of an opportunity to pass up. I am excited to continue to grow the business and build on the foundation that so many have worked to build.”

Fix received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State Univ. in Agricultural Business. He also holds a Master of Science degree and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Swine Breeding and Genetics from North Carolina State Univ. and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Univ. of Iowa.
