MOSCOW – Eighteen out of 33 US poultry companies are now being permitted by Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight to resume chicken imports to Russia, according to RIA Novosti. This decision was made based on preliminary results of inspections held from Oct. 4 through Oct. 16.

In September, the first US poultry consignments were supplied to Russia after an eight-month pause following Russia's request of chlorine-free treatment of meat.
