LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Johnny Rockets’ newest international location is at the Ciudadela shopping center in Guadalajara, Mexico. Officially opening on Sept. 24, this restaurant is the second Johnny Rockets opened by franchise partners Juan Carlos Camarena and Jose Manuel Villanueva, in the past year.

"Springing from the success of our other Johnny Rockets location, in Guadalajara, we hope to continue the momentum in a new community," said franchise owner Jose Manuel Villanueva. "By joining other lifestyle-focused businesses, like popular Cinepolis theaters, the casino and anchor stores Best Buy and Wal-Mart, at Ciudadela; we see the surrounding neighborhoods really embracing the new entertainment complex and believe it is ideal for our unique, fun-focused concept."

The new Ciudadela location is a full-service 2,150-sq.-ft., two-story restaurant employing 55 people.

"The Johnny Rockets brand is still relatively new to the Mexican market and is receiving a warm welcome by both tourists and locals, in Guadalajara," said Steve Devine, senior vice president of international development for Johnny Rockets. "The trends in this region are in line with what we've seen globally. No matter what the location or culture, guests appreciate and keep coming back for our great service and relevant concept, which embodies classic food, friendliness and good times."
