The FDA said the eggs were distributed from a farm in Hyde County, North Carolina to Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia through retail stores and restaurants via direct delivery.

“Consumers with these eggs shouldn’t eat them,” Scott Gottlieb, MD, commissioner of the FDA tweeted on April 15. “Throw them away or return them to place of purchase for credit or refund.”

At least 22 illnesses have been reported so far according to the numbers released on April 13. Gottlieb also said that FDA testing determined the recalled eggs were connected to the people becoming ill.

Brands that include Country Daybreak, Coburn Farms, Crystal Farms, Sunshine Farms and Glenview are among those that could be affected by this recall.
