MCLEAN, Va. – The Meat Industry Suppliers Alliance (MISA) Foundation raised more than $100,000 during the organization’s annual Foundation Banquet and Auction held March 22 during the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) Annual Conference held in Tucson, Arizona.

“Our members are very proud to contribute to the future of the meat industry,” said Bob Grote, chairman of the MISA Foundation. “The auction and its results reflect the commitment of MISA’s membership to supporting the scholarship program and the education of our nation’s most impressive meat science students. This year, the MISA Foundation will be using the monies raised to provide $10,000 scholarships to very worthy students in pursuit of their educational goals and ultimately a career in the meat industry.”

FPSA president and CEO David Seckman noted, “Last year, the MISA Foundation awarded $10,000 scholarships to seven extremely impressive students from some of the nation’s most prestigious university meat science programs.”
