The countdown to the 10th Annual Baconfest Chicago continues. The event is slated for April 6-7 and showcases innovative bacon creations from more than 150 chefs from around the city and nearby suburbs.

What’s for dinner on April 6? Spicy pork belly meatballs from Bar Roma, Bacon & Grits from Bliss Culinary Haven, and Porky Puffs from Chicago’s Community Kitchens are among the delicacies on offer at this year’s event.

Fans of fusion cuisine will find plenty to satisfy their tastes during the April 7 lunch session with Immm Thai Street Food’s Thai 5-Spice Bacon Tacos; Honey Butter Fried Chicken’s Bacon & Fried Chicken Ramen; and Bacon and Bourbon Gourmet Baklava from Sheekar Delights.

The last course is the April 7 dinner session, and Baconfest organizers hope participants will save room for dessert. CURRENT is offering Kumquat-Bacon Brie Mousse Cones; Green St. Grille will be serving Bacon & Grilled Pineapple Chutney Stuffed Doughnuts rolled in a sambal sauce; and Maple Bacon Bourbon Popsicles will join the show courtesy of Son of A Butcher.
