The NBBQA's "I am BBQ" event will be held March 14-17.
 
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Officials from the National Barbecue and Grilling Association (NBBQA) have announced the keynote speakers at its annual conference will be the filmmakers ofBarbecue, a current Netflix documentaryfocused on barbecue traditions from all over the world. The film’s director/cinematographer and co-editor, Matthew Salleh, along with Rose Tucker, producer/co-editor will address attendees of “I am BBQ 2018,” the NBBQA National Conference & Academy held March 14-17 in Fort Worth, Texas. The keynote address is scheduled for March 15.

The event includes pre-event tours on March 14, before a welcome reception in the evening. The full conference overview is available online.

Stuart Meyer, CEO of the NBBQA says the I am BBQ event, “brings together the most successful people in the industry annually for knowledge sharing, peer-to-peer learning, educational programs, outdoor sessions and demos, relationship-building, grilling competition, and a full day of barbecue and grilling academy presented to the public.” Attendees typically include not only backyard barbecue chefs but foodservice professionals in the barbecue segment, from restauranteurs to food truck operators.
