Sanderson Farms Championship recently donated $1.2 million to Friends of Children's Hospital.
 
JACKSON, Miss. – More than $1 million was raised during Sanderson Farms’ latest annual fundraising golf tournament, The Sanderson Farms Championship. The company’s representatives recently presented a $1.2 million donation to Friends of Children’s Hospital, the fundraising arm for Batson Children’s Hospital, part of Children’s of Mississippi “Growing Campaign.”

The 2017 donation will be designated to the $100 million Children’s of Mississippi “Growing Campaign.” The tournament and Sanderson Farms also donated $260,000 to more than 65 charities in Mississippi.


The Sanderson Farms Championship was played at Country Club of Jackson the last week of October.

“Since 2013 when Sanderson Farms became the title sponsor of this event, we grow prouder each year of all it accomplishes and what it means to the state of Mississippi and to the families and children who benefit from it,” said Joe Sanderson, Jr. CEO and chairman of the board of Sanderson Farms.
