KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the last two months, several fast food restaurants have started breaking out new chicken items as consumer tastes continue to change for poultry in the market.

McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s and Chick-fil-A have all released products to appeal to the growing demand in the QSR space.

Here is a quick look at each one and how it hopes to set itself apart from the competition.

Wendy’s Chicken Tenders

Wendy's is adding a new chicken item to its menu with its Chicken Tenders and Side of S'Awesome sauce.

Made with all-white meat chicken breasts and no artificial flavors, Wendy's Chicken Tenders are lightly breaded and seasoned with simple ingredients. The Side of S'Awesome sauce adds sweet and smoky flavors.

"We decided to raise the bar because customers deserve better-tasting and quality chicken," said Kurt Kane, Wendy's chief concept and marketing officer. "After two years of perfecting our new Chicken Tenders and Side of S'Awesome sauce, we knew we had a winner.”
