Lainie Cooney brings more than 20 years of HR experience to the job.
 
NEW YORK – Blue Apron Holdings Inc. has announced that Lainie Cooney has joined the company as Chief Human Resources Officer. She will be a member of Blue Apron’s executive leadership team and will report to CEO Matt Salzberg.

“I’m excited to welcome Lainie to Blue Apron and believe she will be an invaluable member of our team,” Salzberg said. “Lainie’s experience in food distribution and retail makes her an especially strong fit for our organizational structure, and her expertise will be essential as we continue to strengthen our processes, develop our people and culture, and align the company to achieve our business goals.”

Cooney joins Blue Apron with over 20 years of human resource experience. Most recently she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at DPI Specialty Foods, a nationwide specialty food distributor. Prior to that she served as vice president of Human Resources at State Street Investment Management Services from 2005 to 2012 and as a Human Resources Manager and Six Sigma Black Belt Project Leader at Home Depot from 2000 to 2005.

Cooney received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Clark Univ. and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and Advanced Doctoral Studies from California School of Professional Psychology.
