TGI Friday's is trying to supply food to different consumer habits.
 

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. —  Beyond Meat, a plant-based protein company, announced the soft launch of the Beyond Burger at participating TGI Friday's restaurants in the greater Boston area.

TGI Friday's is the largest restaurant brand to partner with Beyond Meat so far. The Beyond Burger will be featured on the menu as an eight-week test item and will feature a 6-oz. burger patty.

“TGI Friday's is a staple in the American dining landscape, and we are thrilled they are bringing The Beyond Burger to their customers,” said Ethan Brown, CEO and founder of Beyond Meat. “From the onset, The Beyond Burger has been about delivering delicious, satiating, center-of-the-plate protein for the entire family to enjoy.”

Now through October, TGI Friday's guests in Dartmouth, Mansfield, Attleboro, Providence, Seekonk and Taunton will be the first to try The Beyond Burger, with a national rollout date expected in early 2018.
