WATERTOWN, Wis. – Winners of the World's Best Brats, which was held in Watertown, Wis., on Oct. 2, were announced by The Watertown Tourism Council. The event drew more than 1,200 people from Wisconsin, and more than 3,000 brats from Wisconsin-based companies were grilled.

Trig's Smokehouse took top honors in the traditional bratwurst category, while the Chicken Cheddar Fiesta Southwest bratwurst from Grampa Rechek's Sausage in Beaver Dam took the top spot in the non-traditional category. Johnsonville was awarded top alternative brat for its Hot'n Spicy product, and Trig's took home fan favorite. Each winner will receive marketing materials, including a high-resolution image, which can be used for marketing purposes, identifying their product as the "World's Best Brat."


Other creations included a buffalo wing brat, which contained blue cheese, crafted by Glenn's Meat Market, and a chicken cordon bleu brat, produced by Pernat's Premium Meats of Johnson Creek, Wis.
