SAN FRANCISCO – Sun Basket, the organic meal kit service, announced the launch of its Family Menu, including paleo-friendly recipe options.

The Family Menu is designed by Sun Basket Chef Justine Kelly and Food Network Chef Tyler Florence to feed a family of four with recipes crafted using the organic and non-GMO ingredients that will satisfy both children and adults. With paleo friendly, gluten-free, and vegetarian options, the Family Menu caters to an array of dietary preferences. Families can choose to receive two or four recipes per week that merge child-friendly flavors made with organic ingredients.

“As a full-time working parent, I understand how difficult it is to make a meal for my family after a long day,” said Kelly, co-founder of Sun Basket and former head chef at the Slanted Door. “The Family Menu provides you with delicious, kid-friendly recipes and the best organic and non-GMO ingredients to create healthy, nutritionally sound meals that both parents and their kids will love.”

The Family Menu meal kit features recipes with lean meats and vegetables, free of soy, dairy and gluten. This unique offering is perfect for parents interested in following a paleo diet, with optional non-Paleo side dishes or toppings to please the kids.

As both chefs and parents, Kelly and Florence know that motivating children to try new foods and experimenting with new recipes every week can be difficult. The Family Menu not only enables parents to get healthy meals on the table quickly but also invites the entire family into part of the meal-making process, with child-friendly content and games, as well as “Kids Can!” steps that allow children to get involved in cooking the recipes.

“Even as a professional chef, cooking for the family is hard. Between my children’s schedules, and mine planning meals has always been a challenge, a challenge shared by all parents,” Florence said. “That’s why I collaborated with Chef Justine Kelly to co-develop amazing recipes to cook at home that are easy, healthy, and delicious. We wanted to create recipes that would please even your toughest critics — your little ones.”
