BREIDENBACH, Germany – Weber Maschinenbau, the parent company of Kansas City, Missouri-based Weber Inc., announced on April 21, its acquisition of Schröder Maschinenbau KG, a global producer of packaging machines and curing technology . Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“With in-depth expertise in process technology, the high quality of packaged goods will not begin only during slicing, but in mastering complex line functions,” said a statement issued by Weber Maschinenbau. "The development of our market will also present us with major challenges in the future,” it said.

Founded by Günther Weber and still family owned, Weber has earned a reputation for its expertise and supplying the food industry with slicing solutions while searching for the “next, better solution and new, clever details.”
