KANSAS CITY – Restaurants are betting big on breakfast. A slew of new morning meal options are debuting on menus, and with some, it seems the bigger the better.

Hardee’s is launching two new pork-packed offerings of massive proportion. The APORKalypse Burrito contains four ham slices, two sausage patties and bacon pieces all wrapped together with folded eggs and American and Swiss cheese inside a warm flour tortilla. The APORKalypse Biscuit features four slices of ham, three strips of bacon, a sausage patty, a folded egg and American and Swiss cheese all stuffed inside a buttermilk biscuit.


Del Taco is bolstering its breakfast offerings with a gargantuan new breakfast burrito, the Huevos Rancheros Epic Burrito. It features grilled Mexican chorizo sausage, grilled scrambled eggs, slow-cooked pinto beans, roasted chili salsa, avocado, cheddar cheese and sour cream double wrapped in two warm corn tortillas and an oversized warm flour tortilla.

Additionally, the chain is introducing Breakfast Rollers in chorizo and bacon varieties, which feature grilled scrambled eggs, grated cheddar cheese, zesty red sauce and either grilled Mexican chorizo sausage or crispy bacon rolled in a warm flour tortilla.

Dunkin’ Donuts is expanding its breakfast lineup with the new Pretzel Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. Served on a new pretzel croissant, the sandwich features Cherrywood smoked bacon, egg and Wisconsin aged white cheddar cheese.
