GARNER, N.C. – Butterball announced the promotion of two executives, Dean Lisenby, vice president of supply chain and continuous improvement, and Neal Walsh, vice president of strategic business initiatives and purchasing.

Lisenby will continue to oversee supply chain management. His new responsibility includes directing the company’s logistics group, ensuring processing, warehousing and customer distribution.

As the director of supply and demand planning, Lisenby led several supply chain planning software implementations and major company-wide developments. Before joining Butterball in 2008, he spent 10 years at Perdue Farms as director of supply planning.

Lisenby received his bachelor of science in manufacturing engineering technology from Western Carolina Univ.

As vice president of strategic business initiatives and purchasing, Walsh will be responsible for collaborative efforts to identify the most profitable integrated value of the Butterball meat supply.

Walsh will continue to oversee corporate purchasing, in addition to co-pack procurement and management. He will also guide Butterball’s processing facilities’ protein utilization.

“Neal Walsh’s experience in the poultry industry, coupled with a dedication to continuous improvement in all areas of the company, is an invaluable asset,” Jandrain said. “We’re confident that his deep knowledge and experience will ensure Butterball’s continued success.”

Prior to joining Butterball, Walsh spent 19 years at Perdue Farms. He joined Butterball in 2007, where he developed and implemented a corporate purchasing policy and drove organizational change by combining the purchasing functions of Carolina turkeys and Butterball into one business unit. 

Walsh received his bachelor of science in business administration from Appalachian State Univ.
