A Colorado man who hit the jackpot with a Powerball ticket worth $1 million asked lottery officials to make the ceremonial check payable to Chris P. Bacon.

 

Colorado’s lottery identifies winners by their first name and last initial. In this case, the winner was Scott B. He will receive $710,000 after taxes. The Colorado Springs Gazette reported that Scott B. learned he was the winner on Feb. 2, when he stopped by a 7-Eleven convenience store for a Red Bull and doughnuts.
