ATLANTA, Ga. – The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) has set three new records in overall attendance, exhibit space and international attendance at its 2017 show, held Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Attending this year’s annual show were 31,649 poultry, meat and feed industry leaders from around the globe – a new record – up from 30,277 in 2016. Of those attendees, 8,018 were international visitors, which is another show record (up from 7,280 in 2016). This year’s international attendees represented 129 countries. The largest group from a single country, after the US, was Canada with 1,383 visitors. The Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico and South American region had the largest group of visitors, with 3,226.

In addition there were 1,273 exhibitors at the trade show with more than 533,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space, which was another IPPE record – the 2016 show featured 464,750 sq. ft. of exhibit space. IPPE is sponsored by the US Poultry & Egg Association, American Feed Industry Association and North American Meat Institute.

“We are very excited about this year’s record-breaking exhibit space floor and attendance numbers. The turnout for the 2017 IPPE was exceptional, and the feedback from attendees has been extremely positive regarding time spent on the trade show floor and in education sessions. We expect next year will be even more valuable for attendees and exhibitors alike,” the three organizations said.

In addition to the three-day tradeshow, there were five days of education programs about industry topics and issues.

Next year’s IPPE will be held Jan. 30 – Feb. 1, 2018, at the Georgia World Congress Center. More information will be available atwww.ippexpo.org.
