Nettles joins Papa John's where 55 percent of total domestic sales come through digital platforms.
 

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Mike Nettles, who most recently served as vice president of Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategy at Panera Bread Co. was named senior vice president, Chief Information and Digital Officer for Papa John’s International.

In his new role, Nettles is charged with enhancing Papa John’s digital technology to deliver an improved customer experience. The company recently reported that 55 percent of total domestic sales come through digital platforms with 60 percent of the transaction coming from mobile devices. Papa John’s offers consumers multiple online payment options at checkout including an Apple TV app.

Before joining Papa John’s, Nettles was responsible for driving information technology architecture and processes for the Panera 2.0 business model. He also led the technical design, development and implementation of digital and in-café Panera assets.

Nettles other roles include chief technology officer at DiningIn Inc., an online food delivery service in addition to positions with Torex, Brinker International, NeoStar Retail Group. He also was the founder and principal of Red Chair Ventures LLC.
