Five executives will change their roles; two will join the company.
 

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – West Liberty Foods LLC has announced a series of changes to its executive management team. Current president and CEO Ed Garrett will maintain the role of CEO, while Michael Quint, current vice president and chief customer officer (CCO) will be promoted to president.

In addition, Allen Hansen has been promoted to CFO and vice president of finance; K. Joseph Swanson has been promoted to vice president of operations; and Brandon Achen has been promoted to vice president of supply chain. Scott Cole will be joining the company as CCO and Dominik Teyke will fill the role of vice president of R&D, both effective this month.

Quint, who has 30+ years in the meat industry, joined West Liberty Foods in April 2006 as vice president and CCO leading the sales, marketing and R&D departments. “During his time with West Liberty Foods, he has successfully led the team in diversifying customer base and product lines,” according to a company statement. “In addition, he has provided strategic visioning and overall leadership in expanding the research and development team and building West Liberty Foods’ brand strength.”

Hansen joined the company in 2002, and has held the roles of executive director of finance, corporate controller and controller.

Swanson has been with the company since its inception in 1996 and has years of experience in the areas of quality assurance, operations, continuous improvement, finance and human resources. “His knowledge, solid technical skill set and outstanding leadership continues to position the company for further success,” the company said in a statement.

Achen began with West Liberty Foods in 2008 and previously held roles including industrial engineer and management roles in the scheduling, purchasing and supply chain departments.

Cole comes to West Liberty after working for more than 25 years at Hershey. Teyke joins the company with more than 28 years of protein and product research. For the past 10 years he has lead the culinary, project management, applied science and product development departments at Boar’s Head.
